hi guys, or gals. err-- whatever
so, i'm VAlerie14, as my username shows, and my avatar and signature is Kotomi Ichinose from Clannad.
if you don't like anime or such, well, don't worry. i'm not sooo much of an anime freak.
so let me tell you why i liked Kotomi.
first, her hair is PURPLE!
second, she has the neutral expression, or expressionless face...and i like that. (dunno why.)
third...though she always looks emotionless, she still is one of the funniest characters in Clannad
hmmm, so let me tell you a little about Clannad. it's a story of...well nothing. hmmm... so let me summarize the characters and the story
The leading Man in the story is....
Tomoya Okazaki. he is a school bum (like Dan of Xylem 07-08) he is helpful to others but says he did nothing when people thank him. he has got a really depressing life with a drunkard father and a motherless home.
tomoya meets a weak girl named
Nagisa. She has a weak body and easily gets sick. she repeated 'cause she got sick after the first few days of classes.
from nagisa, the story moves to a girl named
Fuuko. she's small, childish and quite annoying. but cute. she was smaller than the others though she said she is 17 already. turns out that she's a spirit of a girl who is in the hospital with comatose. after having something she really wanted, she slowly got forgotten by the people who knew her.
there are also a twin in Clannad....
Ryou and Kyou. the other one with short hair likes Tomoya and the other one does everything to make her sis get closer to her crush.
tomoya later meets the genius girl in the school named
Kotomi. a girl who studies bare footed on the library alone and does not respond if not called "Kotomi-chan". She looks neutral but her innocence is funny. Her attitude was caused by the death of her parents long ago, which she blamed herself for. she's also not good in social stuff. her only friend at first is Tomoya.
Tomoyo is a warrior like girl. she had a bad image before for beating all guys in streets because she was a rebel. when her brother got sick, and died, she became a good one, though, she still had those warrior-like instincts. she often kicks Sunohara more than 100 times everytime they meet. Tomoyo instincts.
Sunohara-a really pathetic guy who thinks of girls, girls, girls. he's a male flirt and really annoying. though sometimes, he speaks with sense, which is once in the blue moon.
The main character is Nagisa and Tomoya though, NAgisa's story waas only highlighted in the begining and end. Fuuko remained reappearing like a failed superhero, appearing on weird sceens and making disappearances making people around her say "who was that?!" Kotomi ended up knowing the truth that it wasn't her fault while the twins simply gave up with the get Tomoya thing. Tomoyo made her image nice by being the STudent Council. but if you watch it, it's nice and nothing at the same time.
~o~o~~o~o~~o~o~~o~o~~o~o~~o~o~~o~o~~o~o~~o~o~~o~o~~o~o~~o~o~
so okay. onwe thing funny about Kotomi is that, she lovely Violin. in the OP of Clannad, you'd see her play violin like a pro. but actually, when she plays, the students say "earthquake! we're gonna die!!!" and a boar there named Botan (pet of the twins) together with a cute cat both fell down when Kotomi did a violin recital. they fell down, dead. (well they became alive later on.)
so here's life application. in my former school where i took the 8th grade, i had some schoolmates who were craving for violins. as a lazy girl with a father side full of musicians, that's not really entertaining. i like to sing of course. i like the piano. i play once a month. XD but i really hate guitars. seems like a heavy instrument, and it's bigger than me...ToT
plus, it's sooo common, i don't feel uhm... like i've accomplished something great by knowing a common instrument. and Violin...sure sounds like a pain to study since i'm quite old for violin already.....but...there's something called Challange in it.
so here goes. we bought a violin last April 27, 2008 which is Sunday and went straight to my aunt. then i got taught by violin parts, how to hold the bow, and square bowing. (i think i forogt it all already) i also had an assignment.
Violin is a challange and i'll try to uhm... overcome.
so there. i'll be posting my struggles with the violin.
so, what do you think?
